Equipment

Mobile horse x-rayMobile Digital X-ray
Our Digital system is a Direct-Reading machine, the images appearing on the screen after only a few seconds. There is no intermediate step or processing required. Most importantly the quality of the images is significantly better than the conventional film x-rays. It is no coincidence that the Universities and top equine practices now all have Digital Radiography.
It is also beneficial to be able to take these X-Rays at your stables, where your horse is more relaxed. This is particularly important if there is concern of a serious fracture, or a bad case of laminitis. In both of these cases, the last thing that your horse needs is an uncomfortable and potentially damaging journey. Our machine has revolutionised the way in which we work with x-rays, with the ultimate aim being to provide you as clients with the best possible service.

Equine Digital ultrasound

Excellent quality Digital Ultrasound machine for scanning tendons. We also have an additional probe for abdominal and pelvic scans

Rectal Scanner for stud work

Endoscopes of varying width and length for respiratory problems, guttural pouch and sinus problems

Motorised dremel for the more serious teeth conditions, handheld rasps and molar and wolf teeth extractors allow us to undertake the majority dental extractions and corrections. All of our dental work includes the use of a Houseman’s Gag to safely open your horse’s mouth

Second Opinions and Referrals
We are happy to examine horses and ponies on a second opinion basis and are able to provide a referral equine service to vets in our area.
